Employment rate improves
Construction sector leads job gains

The Jeju employment rate has improved, with gains most evident in the construction industry.

According to the Honam Regional Statistics Office, the February employment rate was 69.5 percent - two percentage points higher than at the same point last year.

In construction, the rate was up 11 percent, while it improved by ten percent in agriculture and fishing as well as the sector that includes jobs in electricity, transportation, and finance.

The unemployment rate fell point-four points over the same period to 2.5 percent.


건설업 중심 제주 고용률 증가

건설업을 중심으로 고용률이 증가했습니다.

호남지방통계청에 따르면 지난달 제주지역 고용률은 69.5%로 지난해 같은 기간보다 2%p 상승했습니다.

산업별로는 건설업 종사자사 11% 증가했고, 농림어업과 전기·운수·금융업 종사가 10% 늘었습니다.

실업률은 2.5%로 지난해보다 0.4%p 감소했습니다.
