‘No highly toxic pesticides at golf courses’
Researchers tested 40 island courses earlier this year

Researchers say they found no evidence of highly toxic pesticides at island golf courses.

The Jeju Institute of Health and Environmental Research tested 40 courses in the first half of this year. All came back negative for outlawed pesticides and other chemicals.

They did find evidence of six pesticides, but they are deemed to be of low toxicity and the courses are allowed to use them.

도내 골프장 고독성 농약 불검출

제주도내 골프장이 농약에 비교적 안전한 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주특별자치도 보건환경연구원이 올 상반기에 도내 40군데 골프장에 대한 농약 잔류장을 조사한 결과 고독성 농약과 잔디사용금지 농약은 검출되지 않았습니다.

다만 6종의 농약성분이 검출되기는 했지만 모두 잔디에 사용이 가능한 저독성인 것으로 확인됐습니다.
