Jeju International shifts into high gear for peak summer season
Average of 469 flights daily through mid-August

Jeju International Airport is running a special office to make sure things run smoothly over the peak summer season.

The Jeju branch of the Korea Airports Corporation says the group will perform its work through August 15th.

The airport will be handling an average of 469 flights daily until mid-August. That includes 129 additional flights that were added to the normal schedule to handle the increased demand.

As part of preparations, paramedics and an ambulance have been stationed at the airport to deal with any medical emergencies.

본격적인 여름 휴가시즌이 시작된 가운데 제주공항이 내일(21일)부터 특별대책본부를 가동합니다.

한국공항공사 제주지역본부는 여름철 성수기를 맞아 내일부터 다음달 15일까지를
특별교통대책기간으로 정하고 대책본부를 운영한다고 밝혔습니다.

이 기간 제주공항에 임시편 129편을 증편하는 등 하루 평균 항공기 469편을 투입합니다.

이와함께 여객청사 내에 응급요원과 구급차를 항시 대기시켜 긴급환자 발생에도 대비하기로 했습니다.
