Livestock farms getting ‘smart farm systems’
Jeju City spending \660m to install 8 systems

Jeju City will set up ‘smart farm systems’ that combine information and communication technology at eight area livestock farms.

Six are hog farms and the other two raise Korean cattle.

A total of 660 million won will be spent on the project.

The city will expand this project to deer and duck farms next year. Eligibility is currently limited to hog, chicken, dairy and Korean cattle farms.

제주시, 8개 축산농가 스마트팜 시스템 구축

제주시가 올해 8개 축산농가를 대상으로 정보통신기술을 접목한 스마트팜 시스템을 구축합니다.

이번에 선정된 8군데 농가는 양돈 6곳과 한우농가 2개소로

이들 농가에는 6억6천여 만원이 투자돼 스마트팜 사양관리 시스템이 구축됩니다.

제주시는 내년부터 기존 양돈과 양계, 낙농, 한우분야에서 오리와 사슴 농장으로 지원 대상을 확대할 계획입니다.
