Jeju Council of Churches established
5 Protestant churches, 9 other organizations represented

A Jeju Council of Churches was established last Friday.

In a press conference at the provincial office, representatives from area Protestant churches and missionary groups said the council would follow the spirit of sacrifice exemplified by martyrs from the island’s past.

They said the objective of the council was to quote “create a realm of God with justice, peace, and respect for the local culture, religion, and society.”

The Korean Presbyterian Church is one of the five religious bodies represented on the council, while the Jeju YMCA is one of the nine other organizations on it.

제주의 문화와 종교, 사회를 존중해 정의와 평화의 하나님의 나라를 지향한다며
창립 목표를 설명했습니다.

제주 기독교교회협의회는 한국기독교장로회를 비롯한 5개 교단과 제주 YMCA 등 9개 단체가 참여하고 있습니다.
