A dental clinic for the disabled has opened on the island.

The clinic in Jeju National University Hospital held an opening ceremony Friday and immediately began accepting patients.

It is exclusively for the severely disabled, which includes people with epilepsy or brain lesions.

Depending on the type and level of their disability, patients qualify for up to 50 percent in financial support for implants and other services that are not covered by normal insurance.

제주대학교병원에 마련된 장애인구강진료센터는 2일 개소식을 갖고 본격적인 진료를 시작했습니다.

장애인구강진료센터는 뇌전증과 뇌병변 등 중증 장애인들을 진료합니다.

특히 센터로 내원하는 장애인환자는 장애유형과 등급에 따라 임플란트와 같은 비급여 치과치료비도 많게는 50%까지 지원받게 됩니다.
