5. Province making ￦2b solar energy investment in Aewol-eup
Solar systems for 150 houses, 30 public facilities

The province is making a substantial investment in solar energy in Aewol-eup, Jeju City.

The provincial government will spend about 2 billion won to install 3-kilowatt systems on 150 houses in (고내리) Gonae-ri, (애월리) Aewol-ri, and (곽지리) Gwakji-ri.

It will also set-up solar systems for 30 public facilities, including community centers.

Provincial representatives say this project will cut the electricity bills for the houses and other facilities by a total of roughly 160 million won per year.

제주시 애월읍에 대규모 태양광 발전단지가 조성됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 20억 3천만 원을 들여 애월읍 고내리와 애월리, 곽지리 일대
주택 150곳에 3kw 급 태양광발전시설을 설치합니다.

아울러 마을회관 등 공동이용시설 30 곳에도 태양광 발전설비가 갖춰집니다.

제주도는 태양광 사업으로 연간 1억 6천만 원의 전기요금이 절감될 것으로 기대했습니다.
