5. Flight tickets scarce as school trip season arrives
Nearly all seats booked last weekend

Weekend flight tickets off the island are extremely scarce now that the autumn school trip season is underway.

According to the aviation industry, as more tourists and students are traveling to Jeju, most airlines’ island flights were completely booked October 19th.

With over 90 percent of seats reserved over the weekend, there were three days of nearly sold-out flights.

Nearly 26,000 people came to the island on school trips between October 1st and the 18th. That’s 42 percent more than during the same period last year.

가을 수학여행 시즌이 시작되면서 주말 제주기점 항공편 좌석난이 발생하고 있습니다.

항공업계에 따르면 제주로 오는 수학여행단과 단체 관광객이 증가하면서 19일 대부분 항공사의 탑승률이 100%를 기록했습니다.

특히 주말에도 90％ 이상의 좌석 예약률을 보여 사흘간 만석 상태를 보이고 있습니다.

제주를 방문한 수학여행단은 지난 1일부터 18일까지 지난해 같은 기간보다 42% 증가한 2만5천700여명에 이르고 있습니다.
