2. Nation’s lowest rental earnings on retail properties
Average local earnings ranged from 2.92% to 3.65% last year

The rental earnings on local retail properties fell in 2018 compared to the year before.

According to a shopping district data research institute, rental earnings on mid-to-large-sized shopping facilities stood at 3.65 percent last year--0.1 points lower than the year before. Earnings for small stores fell 0.08 points over the same period to 2.92 percent.

The rental earnings rate on the larger stores was the lowest among the nation’s 17 provinces and major cities. The rate for small stores was the second lowest, following only Ulsan.

The research institute says the low figures are due to the slump in the local economy, and that the trend will continue for some time.

지난해 제주지역 상가 임대수익률이 전년에 비해 하락한 것으로 나타났습니다.

상가정보연구소에 따르면 지난해 제주지역 중대형 상가 임대 수익률은 3.65%로
전년보다 0.1%p 하락했습니다.

소규모 상가는 2.92%로 전년 대비 0.08%p 떨어졌습니다.

17개 시도 가운데 제주도는 중대형 상가의 수익률이 제일 낮았고 소규모 상가 역시 울산 다음으로 최저수준으로 나타났습니다.

상가정보연구원은 경기 불황 등으로 상가 수익률이 떨어졌다며 당분간 이같은 현상이 이어질 것으로 내다봤습니다.
