5. Welfare workers to receive points based on work experience
Points can be used to purchase books, tickets to cultural events, etc.
 
Authorities are launching a point system as part of efforts to improve the situation of people working at social welfare organizations.

Welfare workers will be awarded based on the number of years of experience they have. Some 13-hundred people in Jeju qualify for the benefits.

People who have worked for more than 10 years will be given 200,000 won in points. Those with less than a decade of experience will receive 100,000 won. Those points can be used to pay for medical checkups, books, or tickets to cultural events.

사회복지 종사자들의 처우 개선을 위해 복지포인트 제도가 도입됩니다.

복지포인트 제도는 사회복지시설에 근무하는 종사자들에게 근무경력에 따라
일정액의 포인트를 지급하는 제도로 도내 1천 3백여 명이 지급 대상입니다.

경력 10년 이상은 20만 원, 10년 미만은 10만 원의 포인트가 지급되며
건강검진과 도서구입, 문화공연 관람료 등으로 사용할 수 있습니다.
