Plans to revoke construction permits for long-delayed projects

Jeju City is warning developers that it will revoke construction permits for projects on which work has not begun within one year of receiving the permit.

Work is delayed on 94 projects, and 31 of them are in jeopardy of losing their permits. That list includes 20 residential projects. Officials say the developers of those projects either failed to notify authorities of the beginning of work or failed to submit required feedback for the projects in the specified time period.

Last year, city officials revoked permits for 70 projects from among the 228 on which construction had not begun.

미착공 건축허가 31건 직권취소 예고

제주시가 건축허가를 받고 1년 이내에 착공하지 않은 건축주에게 직권취소를 사전 예고했습니다.

건축허가 취소 대상은 전체 94건 가운데 예고 기간 착공신고 절차를 이행하지 않았거나 의견을 제출하지 않은 주거용 20건과 비주거용 11건 등 모두 31건입니다.

제주시는 지난해에도 미착공 건축허가 대상 228건 가운데 70건을 직권취소 한 바 있습니다.
