A Korean man in his thirties was arrested for distributing pronography and was forcibly returned to Korea from Vietnam. Although he surreptitiously operated by using stolen IDs and VPN to access the server, he was eventually caught by the Jeju Provincial Police Agency and Vietnamese judicial authorities.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency has arrested a 38-year-old man for distributing pornography and video clips recorded by a hidden camera.

He had allegedly distributed pornography and illegally recorded video clips on file sharing websites for a period of two months last year, after which he moved to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. (5월부터 7월)

Only identified by his surname, Kim (Surnamed Kim) had distributed about 3,600 videos for two months.
The police traced his bank account and found about 50 million won paid to him from a dozen file sharing websites.
Kim already had a criminal record and was charged with the same violation before fleeing Korea.(flee from Vietnam)

He used (other’s names) multiple aliases when signing up on file sharing websites and VPN to make it difficult to track him down.

Through international cooperation between the Jeju Provincial Police Agency and Vietnamese judicial authorities, Kim was extradited to Korea and arrested.

Police arrested Kim for violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, ETC. of Sexual crimes and the Information Communication Network Act, and they are now widening their investigation in search of his accomplices.
