2. Expanded blood sampling to identify 4.3 victims
Only a third of 405 remains confirmed since 2006

The provincial government and the Jeju April 3rd Peace Foundation is collecting blood samples from bereaved families for the next three months from May 16th to identify remains of the victims.

Second cousins of the victims are subject to blood sampling from this year to increase the chance of a successful identification of the remains.

405 remains of the April 3rd Incident victims have been discovered from 2006 until 2018, however only 121 remains has been identified.

신원 확인 확률을 높이기 위해
올해부터 채혈 대상이
기존 4촌에서 6촌 친족으로 확대됐습니다.

지난 2006년부터 지난해까지 발굴된 4.3 유해는 405구로
이 가운데 121구의 신원이 확인됐습니다
