Cases include unlicensed private tutoring in JGEC

The Seogwipo City Office of Education is cracking down on illegal private tutoring in Jeju Global Education City.

The Seogwipo City Office of Education suspended a private tutoring institute on March for relocating without a permission. There also have been a series of illegal teaching practices, including two teachers charged for private tutoring without a permit.

Education authorities will offer a reward of up to 5 million won and continue cracking down on illegal educational practices.

제주 영어교육도시 내 불법적인 학원 운영이나 과외에 대한
단속이 이뤄집니다.

서귀포시교육지원청에 따르면 지난 3월 교습소 한 곳이 무단으로
위치를 변경해 교습정지 처분을 받았고
교육청 허가 없이 개인과외를 하다 2명이 고발되는 등 불법 행위가 잇따르고 있습니다.

이에 따라 교육당국은 최고 5백만원의 신고포상제를 안내하는 한편
단속에 나설 예정입니다.
