Increased-friction conveyor belt is patent pending

Jeju International Airport is operating a slip-resistant baggage handling system from Thursday at its international flight terminal to prevent luggage damage.

The Jeju branch of Korea Airports Corporation said they installed slip-resistant conveyor belts at the baggage reclaim area in the international flight terminal processing large throughput.

The slip-resistant conveyor belts were designed by the airport employees with an idea to reduce luggage damage from collision by conveyor belts with larger friction. The conveyor belt is currently under patent pending.

이같은 시설을 설치해 운영한다고 밝혔습니다.

이번에 도입한 수하물 미끄럼 방지시설은
공항 직원들이
직접 아이디어를 모아 마련한 것으로 현재 특허 출원 중에 있습니다.
