JDC makes agreement with Malaysian Berjaya Group to finalize deal

The lawsuit against Jeju Yerae Recreation Housing Complex, which had been suspended due to the Supreme Court's invalidation ruling, is expected to end after five years of forced adjustment.

The mediation stipulated that the Malaysian Berjaya Group will not file an international lawsuit of 4 trillion won in response to JDC making a payment of 120 billion won, which is 200 billion won less than the original damage claims.

The JDC held a board meeting on the 30th to approve the decision, and the Berjaya Group has agreed to the decision.

If the two sides do not raise objections for two weeks upon receiving the decision, the adjustment will be considered as the final ruling.

Meanwhile, JDC reportedly plans to finance the adjusted damage claim amount through governmental budgets or bank loans.

양측의 결정문 내용에 공감한 것으로 알려졌습니다.

양측이 결정문을 송달받고
2주간 이의를 제기하지 않으면
조정 내용이 확정판결과 같은 효력이 발생합니다.

한편 이 결정으로 JDC가 지급해야할 조정금은
정부 추경안 또는
자산담보로 은행권 대출을 통해 마련할 계획인 것으로 알려졌습니다.
