Jeju Air begins cargo shipment business using passenger seats
MOLIT approves proposal for budget airlines to transport cargo

Amid a sharp drop in aviation demand due to COVID-19, Jeju Air has jumped into the freight transport business.

A first amongst low-cost airlines in Korea, Jeju Air has started shipping cargo on the route from Incheon to Bangkok, Thailand on the 22nd.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport previously approved proposals submitted by low-cost carriers Jeju Air, T'way, and Jin Air to transport cargo using passenger planes.

이를 위해 국내 저비용항공사 가운데 처음으로
지난 22일 인천에서
태국 방콕을 잇는 노선에
화물을 탑재하고 운송을 시작했습니다.

앞서 국토교통부는
제주와 티웨이, 진에어 등
3개 저비용항공사가 제출한
여객기를 이용한 화물 운송 계획을 승인한 바 있습니다.
