17 associations root for Shinhwa World Premium Outlets
They argue shopping facilities will attract tourists, create jobs

17 Youth Associations in Seogwipo City held Eup, Myeon-dong administrative districts held a press conference in front of the provincial assembly on April 30th and expressed their active approval of the opening of the Shinhwa World Premium Outlets.

They argued that the establishment of shopping facilities would help to bridge the economic disparity on the island by attracting tourists, creating jobs, and revitalizing the local economy.

In particular, they stressed that premium outlets are tens of kilometers away from the downtown commercial areas, and labeled opposition from other local merchant groups as excessive interference and undesirable.

명분없는 반대를 중단하라고 촉구했습니다.

이들은 쇼핑시설이 들어서면
관광객 유치와 일자리 창출, 지역경제 활성화를 통해
산남과 산북 지역의
경제격차 해소에 도움이 될 것이라고 주장했습니다.

특히 프리미엄 아웃렛은 도심 상권과는 수십km 떨어져 있다며
다른 지역 상인단체의 반대는
과도한 간섭이고 바람직하지 않다고 강조했습니다.
