Man sentenced 6 months in prison and 1 year probation for making a scene
57 year old man disrupted paramedics in an ambulance

Judge (심병직) Shim Byung-jik of the Jeju District Court sentenced 57-year-old man  surnamed Moon to six months in prison and a one-year probation.

The defendant was accused of lewd acts and breaking emergency equipment during his transfer to the hospital after boarding an ambulance last December.

During the ruling, Judge Shim justified the sentence by stating that although the crime of disrupting the paramedics' first aid activities was unacceptable, the defendant admitted to his faults and reflected on his wrongdoing.

신고를 받고 출동한 119 구급차에 탑승한 뒤 병원으로 이송되던 중
음란행위를 하고
아무런 이유없이 구급장비를 깨뜨리며
소란을 피운 혐의 등으로 기소된
57살 문 모 피고인에게
징역 6월에 집행유예 1년을 선고했습니다.

심 판사는 판결문에서
구급대원의 구급활동을 방해함으로써 죄질이 좋지 않지만
자신의 잘못을 인정하고
반성하고 있어 이같이 선고한다고 판시했습니다.
