For those aged between 18 and 49, vaccine booking is available from now through next Thursday (Aug.19) on a 10-day rotation system.
To prevent crashing the reservation website, the last digit of the registration date must match the last digit of one’s date of birth.
People whose birth date ends with a 5 will be able to book on Sunday Aug. 15, while those with a 6 will get to reserve the next day.
Those whose date of birth ends with 1 are able to reserve on Aug. 11, and those whose date of birth ends with 2 can do so on Aug. 12.
People who fail to make reservations on designated days will have another chance by age group on Aug. 19, 20 and 21.
From Aug. 22 through Sept. 18, anyone aged from 18 to 49 can make new appointments or change pre-appointment dates.
Proxy registration is no longer allowed, and using multiple devices is strictly prohibited.
Methods of identification have been expanded to include simple identification certificates issued by Kakao and Naver.
The number of people trying to access the booking website is visually represented through traffic signals of green, yellow and red.
Inoculations will be carried out from Aug. 26 through Sept. 30 and either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine will be given as the first dose.
In Jeju province, 40.4 percent of locals have received their first dose of the vaccine and 14.9 percent have had two doses.
The province plans to complete the first round of doses for everyone over the age of 18 by the end of next month, and have at least 70 percent receive their second dose by the end of November.
However, the current fluctuations in the national vaccine supply is expected to be a factor in achieving this public health objective.
