Due to the ongoing economic downturn and unstable political situation, small businesses in Jeju are facing a sharp decline in business conditions.

According to the Small Enterprise and Market Service, the Business Sentiment Index for small businesses in Jeju last month fell by 6.6 points to 44, the lowest among the 17 regions nationwide.

This month's outlook index also dropped by 11.9 points, reaching 67.9, setting another nationwide low.

Small business owners cited the main reasons for the negative outlook as a decrease in consumer confidence due to the economic slowdown, along with political factors such as martial law and impeachment.

제주도내 소상공인 경기가 급격히 얼어붙고 있습니다.

소상공인시장진흥공단에 따르면
지난달 제주지역 소상공인 체감경기지수는
전월 대비 6.6포인트 하락한 44로
전국 17개 시도 가운데 가장 낮았습니다.

이달 전망경기지수 역시 11.9포인트 떨어진
67.9로
전국 최저치를 기록했습니다.

소상공인들은
전망 경기가 악화된 주된 이유로
경기 침체로 인한 소비심리 위축과 함께
계엄과 탄핵 등 정치적 요인을 꼽았습니다.
