Police are urging caution as online fraud crimes have surged in Jeju.

According to the Jeju Provincial Police Agency, there were over 4,800 cyber fraud cases reported in the region last year, nearly double the number from two years ago.

Around 70% of these fraud cases are related to scams involving secondhand goods transactions.

The police advise that payments should not be made until the items are physically confirmed during secondhand transactions and recommend checking for prior fraud reports through the suspected fraud information section on the police website’s Internet page.

중고 거래과정에 물품을 확인하기 전까지
대금을 주지말고
경찰청 홈페이지 '인터넷 사기 의심 전화나
계좌번호'를 통해
피해 신고 이력을 확인해야 한다고 설명했습니다 .
