4. Seogwipo seeks to host AFC Asian Cup in 2023
Asian Football Confederation officials to inspect facilities next week

Seogwipo is bidding for the hosting rights to the AFC Asian Cup in 2023.

Representatives from the Asian Football Confederation will join their counterparts from the Korea Football Association to assess the city next Wednesday.

They will evaluate the facilities and grass conditions at the Jeju World Cup Stadium and Kang Chang-hak Arena.

The AFC Asian Cup is the largest international soccer tournament in Asia. Twenty-four nations take part in it.

서귀포시가 오는 2023년 열리는 아시아축구연맹 아시안컵 유치에 도전합니다.

이에따라 오는 23일 아시아축구연맹과 대한축구협회로부터 후보 도시로서 사전 실사를 받을 예정입니다.

이날 사전 실사에서는 제주월드컵경기장과 강창학경기장의 시설과 잔디상태 등을 점검받게 됩니다.

아시안컵은 아시아축구연맹이 주관하는 국제 축구대회로 아시아지역 24개국이 참가하는 아시아 권역 내 가장 큰 대회입니다.
