5. Tailored tour packages to be created for Singaporeans
Travel agents from city-state to visit Jeju in September

Relatively few Singaporeans made trips to Jeju last year because of North Korean missile launches and other external issues, so local authorities are working on special tour packages to reinvigorate the market.

Representatives from the provincial government, the Jeju Tourism Organization, and the provincial tourism association recently traveled to Singapore for presentations to travel agencies there. The local representatives suggested the development of tour packages to Jeju that incorporate hiking, golf, and/or weddings.

Singaporean travel agents will visit the island in September to take part in a Jeju Olle walking festival and begin developing bicycle tours for visitors.

Local officials say they will work with the agencies to create high-value tour packages.

이를 통해 오는 9월 제주올레 걷기대회와 자전거 상품 개발을 위한 사전답사를
추진하기로 했습니다.

또 현지 여행사와 공동으로 고부가가치 상품을 개발하기로 하고 콘텐츠와 일정 등을 협의해나갈 계획입니다.
