3. Fewer permits being issued for residential construction
Nearly 1,300 new homes remained unsold last month

Local officials are issuing fewer residential construction permits as an increasing number of new homes remain unsold.

The land ministry says that, as of last month, it had issued permits for only 38-hundred new residential units this year. That’s half the total in the corresponding period of last year.

During the same period, work actually began on about 31-hundred units, and that’s 40 percent fewer than last year.

In another sign of a weak housing market, 1,260 new residential units remained unsold last month.

제주지역 주택 인허가 실적은 줄고 미분양 주택은 늘고 있습니다.

국토교통부 등에 따르면 지난달까지 도내 누적 주택 인허가 물량은 3천 8백여 세대로 지난해 같은 기간보다 50% 감소했습니다.

같은 기간 주택 착공 물량은 3천 1백여 세대로 전년 대비 40% 가까이 줄었습니다.

반면 지난달 미분양 주택은 1,260여 세대로 주택 분양 시장은 여전히 위축돼 있습니다.
