4. All Seogwipo beaches open Sunday
Officially open through September 2

All beaches in Seogwipo, including Jungmun, Pyoseon, Hwasun, and Sinyang, will officially open on Sunday.

They will remain open until September 2nd.

85 people, including coast guardsmen and -women, firefighters, administrators, and lifeguards from the private sector have been assigned to the beaches to prevent accidents in the first place and respond swiftly to any that do occur.

Seogwipo has banned pets from the entering the water beginning this year. It will also fine anyone caught smoking on a beach 50,000 won.

서귀포 해수욕장 내달 1일 일제히 개장

중문과 표선, 화순, 신양 등 서귀포지역 해수욕장들이 다음달 1일 일제히 개장합니다.

이들 해수욕장은 오는 9월 2일까지 64일간 운영되며

물놀이사고 예방과 신속한 대처를 위해 해경과 소방, 행정, 민간안전요원 등 하루 85명이 투입됩니다.

서귀포시는 올해부터 해수욕장에서 흡연할 경우 5만원의 과태료가 부과되며 애완동물의 입욕이 금지되는 만큼 각별한 주의를 당부했습니다.
