3. ‘Jeju will welcome nearly 206,000 Chuseok visitors’
Tourism association releases holiday predictions

Over 200,000 people are expected to visit the island over the Chuseok holidays.

The provincial tourism association says the crush of arrivals will begin September 22nd with some 45,000 tourists and people coming home for the holidays. The total will near 206,000 by the 26th, the last day of the holidays.

Most of the visitors, over 188,000, will arrive by plane. Airlines will operate 11-hundred Jeju flights over the period. That includes regularly-scheduled flights and special holiday flights.

The remaining 17,000-plus visitors will come by ship??there will be about 30 ferry sailings. The vessels will bring people from Mokpo, Wando, Yeosu, and elsewhere in the country.

오는 22일부터 시작되는 추석 연휴 동안 귀성객과 관광객 등 20만 명이
제주를 찾을 전망입니다.

제주도관광협회는 22일, 4만 5천여 명을 시작으로 연휴 마지막 날인 26일까지
20만 5천 5백여 명이 제주를 다녀갈 것으로 추산했습니다.

연휴 기간 항공편은 정기편과 특별기를 포함해 1천 1백여 편이 운항되며 18만 8천여 명이 이용할 것으로 예측했습니다.

여객선도 제주와 목포, 완도, 여수 등을 잇는 30여 편이 운항할 예정이며 뱃길 이용객은 1만 7천 명이 넘을 것으로 예상됩니다.
