Most problems with public property

Local officials say Typhoon Soulik caused over 5.2 billion won in damage when it hit Jeju last month.

The provincial government says 12,000 damage reports were filed. They include the loss of a breakwater at Wimi Port and damage to the roof of Jeju Gymnasium. Those two problems alone will cost over 3 billion won to fix.

The typhoon also damaged private property to the tune of 1.2 billion won. That includes 380 million won in damage to vinyl greenhouses and 270 million won in damage to 60 houses.

Work is underway to fix Wimi Port, and the damage to the gym roof is covered by insurance. Local officials plan to come up with a recovery plan for the remaining damage and then submit it to the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

최종 집계됐습니다.

제주도에 따르면 태풍 솔릭으로 인한 피해는 1만 2천여 건에 피해액은 52억천 만 원으로 집계됐습니다.

공공시설은 위미항 방파제 유실과 제주복합체육관 천장 파손으로 30억원이 넘는 재산피해가 발생했습니다.

사유시설 손실은 비닐하우스 파손 3억 8천여 만원, 주택 60동 파손 2억 7천여 만원 등 12억 1천여 만원으로 집계됐습니다.

제주도는 현재 공사 중인 위미항 방파제와 공제보험으로 복구하는 제주복합체육관을 제외하고 나머지 피해에 대해 자체 복구계획을 세워 행정안전부에 제출할 계획입니다.
