2. Jeju City expanding job project for elderly
920 more positions available this year

In related news, Jeju City will expand its efforts this year aimed at creating jobs for the elderly.

City officials say they will recruit 5,650 people for the work project this year. That’s 920 more than last year. The project includes jobs in 51 categories, which range from taking care of “Clean House” recycling stations, to mentoring adolescents, to helping people at senior citizens centers.

Those interested may apply for a job through community service centers or a private agency hired for the project such as the Jeju Seniors Club. The application period ends January 18th.

제주시가 올해 노인일자리 사업을 대폭 확대합니다.

제주시는 올해 노인일자리 사업에 지난해보다 920여 명 늘어난 5천650여 명을 모집한다고 밝혔습니다.

일자리 참여 분야는 클린하우스 지킴이와 청소년 선도, 경로당 도우미 등 51개 사업입니다.

참여를 원할 경우 오는 18일까지 읍면동 주민센터나 제주시니어클럽 등 민간위탁 수행기관으로 신청하면 됩니다.
