4. Grants for all children under 6
￦100,000 monthly beginning this year

Authorities will begin this year disbursing a 100,000 won grant monthly for every child on the island under the age of six.

A revision to the Child Allowance Law expands beneficiaries to include all children of that age, regardless of household income. The grant had been available only to families with income in the bottom 90 percent.

The child support allowance for children from one-parent families is also increasing: from 130,000 won to 200,000 won monthly. More children will qualify, too: the age at which the grants stop is being increased from 14 to 18.

Finally, the government will give parents five million won in so-called “congratulatory money” when they adopt a child. That payment will be seven million won for a disabled child.

아동수당·양육비 확대…입양축하금 지원

올해부터 만 6살 미만 모든 아동에게 매달 10만원의 아동수당이 지급됩니다.

개정된 아동수당법에 따르면 소득 하위 90% 가정에게 지급되던 아동수당이
올해부터 소득에 상관없이 일괄적으로 지급됩니다.

아울러 한부모가정 아동양육비가 월 13만원에서 20만원으로 늘고 지원대상도 만 14살에서 18살 미만으로 확대됩니다.

또 아이를 입양할 경우 일반 아동은 5백만 원, 장애아동은 7백만원의 축하금이 지원됩니다.
