1. Province authorized to oversee illegal trades at casinos
8 casinos on Jeju will be monitored

The enforcement ordinance for the Financial Information Act has recently been amended, giving the provincial government the authority to supervise funds of eight casinos on the island.

The province now has the power to investigate for illegal financial trades and embezzlement by staff, along with the rights to audit all sales details. Local officials can also demand all reports of large cash transactions.

The Jeju government has been given the rights to issue formal warnings to a casino in violation of the law, and can also take measures against individual violators.
