150MW power plant to cost 380B won

Construction for a new LNG combined cycle power plant has been approved, as power shortage is expected for Jeju next year.

Korea Southern Power Company held a ground-breaking ceremony on Tuesday at their Seogwipo headquarters in Andeok-myun.
The 150MW LNG power plant is estimated to cost 380 billion won and will be completed by June of next year.

KOSPO expects the power plant to provide stable power supply to over 57,000 homes in Jeju.

남제주 LNG복합발전소 착공…내년 6월 준공

내년도 전력수급 부족이 예상되는 제주에
LNG 복합발전소 건립이 추진됩니다.

남부발전은
5일 서귀포시 안덕면 남제주발전본부에서
남제주 복합화력발전소 착공식을 개최했습니다.

이번에 지어지는 LNG 복합화력발전소는
150MW규모로 3천800억 원의 공사비가 투입돼
내년 6월 준공을 목표로 지어집니다.

남부발전측은 이번 복합화력발전소가 지어지면
제주지역 5만7천여 가구에
안정적인 전력공급이 가능해 질 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
