3. ‘Unmanned surveillance system’ to replace conscripted police
Local police to use \35B to operate the system

An unmanned surveillance system will replace the conscripted police to guard the Jeju waters due to the abolition of police conscription from 2023.

Accordingly, the Jeju Provincial Police Agency plans to spend 35 billion won by 2021 to remove coastal guard posts and install thermal observation devices and radar.

The local police will create a team of 340 officers operateing the coastal unmanned surveillance system.

2023년 의무경찰 제도가 폐지됨에 따라
제주 해안 감시가 무인체제로 바뀝니다.

이에따라 제주지방경찰청은
해안경계 과학화 사업을 추진해
2021년까지 350억 원을 들여
해안 초소를 철거하고
열영상감시장비와 레이더 등을 설치할 계획입니다.

이와함께 해안 경계 무인 시스템을 운영하는
340명 규모의 경찰부대를 창설해 통합 상황실을 운영할 방침입니다.
