4. 3 tourists caught swimming in Sanjeong Lake, Sara Oreum
Province fines trespassers each \100K

The provincial government fined three tourists who swam in Sanjeong Lake, Sara Oreum on Hallasan Mountain.

Local officials identified the three climbers based on photos and CCTV footage from the Hallasan National Park. They were each fined 100,000 won.

According to the Natural Park Act, trespassers who enter restricted areas of the Hallasan National Park can be fined up to 500,000 won.

Sanjeong Lake is part of Sara Oreum, a designated cultural asset and scenic spot No. 83. It is under state protection.

The province will strengthen its patrols in Baengnokdam, Sara Oreum, and other restricted valleys in National Parks during the summer vacation season.

한라산 사라오름 산정호수 수영 탐방객 3명 과태료

한라산 사라오름 산정호수에서 수영을 해 논란이 된
등반객들에게 과태료가 부과됐습니다.

제주특별자치도는
제보 사진과
공원내 CCTV 영상을 토대로
산정호수에서 수영한
등반객 3명을 특정해
과태료 각 10만원씩 모두 30만원을 부과했습니다.

자연공원법에 따라
한라산국립공원의 일정한 지역을
출입통제구역으로 지정해 출입을 제한할 수 있으며
위반하면
최대 50만원 이하의 벌금을 부과할 수 있습니다.

사라오름은
한라산 천연보호구역 안에 있는
국가지정 문화재 명승 제83호입니다.

제주도는
휴가철을 맞아
백록담과 사라오름,
국립공원 내 입산이 금지된 계곡 등에
탐방객이 찾을 것으로 예상되는 만큼
이에 대한 순찰을 강화하기로 했습니다.
