Project is a 'major issue for Jeju residents'

The Jeju branches of the Party for Democracy and Peace and Justice Party urged the provincial government to conduct a public opinion poll on the island’s second airport.

They held a press conference in front of the provincial council building on Tuesday and said that the province must seek islanders’ opinions on the second airport as the construction project is a major issue that will affect the residents’ lives and the local environment.

They stressed that the Provincial Council and members of the National Assembly from Jeju should push for a public opinion poll on the second airport, if Governor Won refuses to conduct it.
