Offender denies charges of killing her step-son

Ko Yu-jeong, a 36 year old woman under charges of killing her ex-husband and stepson, faced a combined hearing of the two murder charges for the first time yesterday at the Jeju District Court.

Koh’s trial drew attention as it was the first time she was being tried for the murder charge of her stepson.

During the hearing, the local prosecutors claimed that Koh intentionally suffocated her stepson to death, but Koh’s attorney denied all related charges.

In particular, Koh’s current husband, who is the father of the dead child, appeared as Koh’s witness and testified about the situation at the time.
