Largest amount in history

The amount of household debt in Jeju has increased to 16.45 trillion won, hitting a new record.

The Jeju branch of the Bank of Korea says the total amount of Jeju household loan debt as of the end of September was 16.45 trillion won, which was 53 billion won higher than a month before.

The increase rate of local household debt was 6.6%, marking a 0.7% drop compared to the same period last year.

However, the increase rate of local household debt ranked the third highest in the nation, followed by Gwangju City and Seoul.

제주지역 가계대출 규모가 사상 최대치를 기록했습니다.

한국은행 제주본부에 따르면
지난 9월 말 가계대출 잔액은 16조 452억 원으로
한 달 만에
무려 530억 원이 늘었습니다.

가계대출 증가율은 6.6%를 기록하면서
지난해 같은기간 7.3%에 비해서는 다소 떨어졌습니다.

하지만 전국 기준으로 봤을 때는
광주와 서울에 이어 세 번째로
증가폭이 가파른 것으로 나타났습니다.
