More than 60 students have dropped out of school this year.
According to the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, 66 students of multicultural families have stopped attending schools in the province as of May this year.
In elementary and middle schools, there were many multicultural students who went abroad, and in high schools, many students decided to drop out due to the Qualification Examination for College Entrance or maladjustment.
The Office of Education will be operating special classrooms as an alternative education program for students who are at risk of dropping out at 29 schools in the province.
