(구만섭) Koo Man-sub, the acting Governor of Jeju, appointed (고영권) Ko Yeong-kwon, an ex-vice governor, as a candidate for vice governor for administration affairs.
Koo explained the main reason for the appointment was that Ko’s previous experience as vice governor would help secure task continuity and a maintained focus on the management of the COVID-19 crisis.
(고영권) Ko Yeong-kwon, born in Gosan-ri, Jeju City, was appointed as vice governor in September, last year. However, he was dismissed from office when the former Governor Won Heeryong resigned from his position on the 12th.
The provincial government plans to request a public hearing to the provincial council.
