A man in his fifties was charged with stalking for the first time in the province, since the severe anti-stalking law has been in effect.

The Jeju Dongbu Police Station said that the man
was under investigation for the violation.
He intimidated his ex-girlfriend
after receiving a notice to break up.

According to the police, the man continuously called his ex-girlfriend
for 2 days on the 21st to 22nd, causing the victim to feel frightened and anxious.

The police gave the man a restraining order
where he is prohibited to approach within 100 meters from the victim
and provided a smartwatch to her for protection.
