Opposition on Animal Theme Park

The Seonheul Community Council and a group opposing an animal theme park held a press conference on October 29th at the provincial government office and urged the provincial government not to extend the business period of the theme park.

They claimed the reasons for their argument
were that the theme park’s capital has been impaired
and its parent company also has stopped supporting the project.

In particular, they said they would conduct online petitions
and protests that ask for punishment
of the owner of the company handling the project.
The owner was indicted on charges of breach of trust
by taking bribery.

지난 달 29일 제주도청 앞에서 기자회견을 열고
제주도는
동물테마파크의 사업 기간을 연장하지 말 것을 촉구했습니다.

동물테마파크는
이미 부분 자본 잠식 상태에 빠져 있고
모기업도 지원을 중단하면서
손을 뗀 상태인 만큼
이같이 결정해야 한다고 주장했습니다.

특히 배임 증재 혐의로 기소된 사업자 대표의 처벌을 요구하는
온라인 탄원 서명과
1인 시위도 진행하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
