Jeju Air Operated Damaged Plane

Fines have been imposed on Jeju Air again for operating a plane that was damaged.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport
recently held a committee meeting for administrative punishment and said that 700 million won of fines were imposed on Jeju Air.

The license of the pilot will be suspended for 45 days
and 30 days for the technician.

Jeju Air has operated a plane without recognizing
the damage at the end of its left wing.
The minor collision occurred when Jeju Air’s plane
was moving to a taxiway and collided with an Air Seoul plane.

This is the third time this year that fines have been imposed
on Jeju Air for operating damaged planes without repairs.

기체가 손상된 채 운항한 제주항공이 또 다시 과징금을 부과 받았습니다.

국토부는 최근 행정처분심의위원회를 열고
항공기 안전관리에 문제가 드러난
제주항공에 7억원의 과징금을 부과했다고 밝혔습니다.

또 조종사에는 운송용 조종사 자격증명 효력정지 45일,
정비사에는 자격증명 효력정지 30일 처분을 각각 내렸습니다.

제주항공은 왼쪽 날개 끝 부분 일부가 손상됐는데도
이를 인지하지 못하고 운항한 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주항공이 기체가 손상된 비행기를 수리하지 않고 운항에 나섰다
과징금 처분을 받은 것은 올해에만 세 번째입니다.
