Jeju National Museum Expansion

Jeju National Museum has expanded special exhibition halls that have not been sufficient and has opened complex cultural exhibition halls, including a children museum and an experience hall for immersive art.

In addition, to commemorate its 20th anniversary, the Jeju National Museum is holding a special exhibition called ‘Jeju National Museum Goes With Jeju’ by gathering collections from local public and private museums including 16 art galleries.

In the exhibition, autographs by the Korean independence activist (안중근) Ahn Jung-geun will be open to the public for the first time. Also, (내왓당) Naewat-dang shamanic paintings, which have been designated as National Folklore Cultural Heritage, along with other works by artists who love Jeju will be displayed.

개관 20주년을 기념해
도내 공·사립 박물관과
미술관 16개소의 소장품들을 모아
'제주와 박물관, 동행' 특별전을 열고 있습니다.

이번 전시에서는
안중근 의사의 유묵이 최초로 일반 공개되고
국가민속문화재인 제주도 내왓당 무신도와
제주를 사랑한 여러 예술가들의 작품을 만날 수 있습니다.
