Province operates system to clear snow from roads

The province is operating a system to clear snow from roads during the snowy winter season.

The provincial government will operate three stations
to remove snow in (노형동) Nohyeong-dong,
and (교래리) Gyorae-ri of (조천읍) Jocheon-eup to reduce
the travel time of snowplows.

Six private snow removal equipment
will be dispatched at roads in mountainous areas,
including (평화로) Pyeonghwa-ro and (번영로) Bunyoung-ro roads.

Sandbags will be disposed of in slope ways and shady areas.

The province asks residents to use public transportation
or winterized vehicles during heavy snow
and to remove snow in front of their own houses.


겨울철 폭설 대비 도로제설 대응 체계 가동

제주도가 겨울철 폭설에 대비한
도로제설 대응 체계를 가동합니다.

이를 위해 노형동과 조천읍 교래리에
제설 전진기지 3곳을 운영해
제설차량의 이동시간을 단축하도록 했습니다.

평화로나 번영로 등 중산간에 위치한 도로에
제설용 민간장비 6대를 배치하고
경사로와 응달진 곳에 모래주머니도 비치했습니다.

제주도는 폭설이 발생하면 대중교통을 이용하거나
차량에 월동장구를 장착해 운행하고
내집 앞 눈 치우기에도 동침해줄 것을 부탁했습니다.
