Province to Expand on Security Centers

The Jeju Provincial Municipal Police will expand the operation of administrative complex security centers at villages located in the mountainous areas.

The centers have been in operation at two locations in (송당리) Songdang-ri in (구좌읍) Gujwa-eup, and (저지리) Jeoji-ri in (한경면) Hangyeong-myeon.

The center that covers the jurisdiction of the eastern area will be expanded to include (덕천리) Deokcheon-ri of (구좌읍) and Gujwa-eup, (선흘리) Seonheul-ri as well as (교래리) Gyorae-ri, of (조천읍) Jocheon-eup.

In addition, the police will expand security centers
to administer western and southern mountainous areas
next year progressively.

Local police manpower is stationed at
administrative complex security centers
which are in charge of security patrols, traffic control,
and investigation of environmental incidents.



자치경찰, 행정복합치안센터 확대 운영

제주도 자치경찰단이
중산간 마을에 운영 중인 행정복합치안센터를 확대 운영합니다.

현재 구좌읍 송당리와 한경면 저지리 2곳에 운영 중인 가운데
동부 치안센터의 관할 지역을
구좌 덕천과 조천 선흘, 교래까지 넓히기로 했습니다.

내년에는 제주 서부지역과 남부권 중산간 지역을 관할하는 치안센터도
순차적으로 확대해나갈 계획입니다.

행정복합 치안센터에는 자치경찰 인력이 상주하며 방범순찰과 교통단속,
환경분야 사건 수사 등을 담당하게 됩니다.
