Defects in Public Toilet Security

The Jeju City Municipal Office has conducted an inspection on 151 emergency alarms in public toilets and identified 13 defect cases.

One was not operating properly and 12 had minor issues including
noise problems and minor malfunction issues.

Currently, emergency alarms are installed at
80 public restrooms out of 269 restrooms in total.
It will be mandatory to install emergency alarms at all public toilets
by July 2023 in accordance with the related law.

제주시가 제주시내 공중화장실에 설치된 151개 안심비상벨을 점검한 결과
13건에서 불량 사항이 확인돼 조치가 이뤄졌습니다.

주요내용을 보면 작동 불량 1건을 비롯해
잡음 문제 등 경미한 불량 12건 등입니다.

현재 제주시 공중화장실 269개소 가운데
80개소에 안심비상벨이 설치돼있으며
관련법에 따라 2023년 7월까지 모든 공중화장실에서의 설치가 의무화됩니다.
