Jeju Island will operate a temporary bus to help solve the traffic congestion problem on the 1100 road caused by visitors.

The province said it will expand the number of buses from 9 to 15 on a one-way basis with two additional buses that will run on Saturdays and holidays from the 24th to February 26th next year.

However, temporary buses will only operate between the Jeju Bus Terminal to the Yeongsil Ticket Office.

Jeju Island urges people to use public transportation as much as possible for the 1100 road due to unpredictable weather changes including road freezing.




24일부터 1100도로 '설경버스' 2대 추가 투입


설경 구경 인파로 인한 1100도로 교통 혼잡 문제를 해소하기 위해 제주도가 임시 버스를 투입합니다.

제주도는 오는 24일부터 내년 2월 26일까지 토요일과 공휴일에 한해 버스 2대를 추가 투입해 운행 횟수를 편도 기준 9회에서 15회로 확대 운행한다고 밝혔습니다.

다만 임시 투입편은 제주버스터미널에서 영실매표소까지만 운행할 계획입니다.
제주도는 1100도로의 경우 도로 결빙 등 기상변화가 많은 만큼 가급적 대중교통을 이용해 줄 것을 당부했습니다.
