It was mentioned at the North Korean Nuclear Crisis Special Committee under the People Power Party that Jeju is in great confusion on the possibility of nuclear deployment and using the second airport as a military airport.


The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has not disclosed any results of the service reports regarding the second airport for more than two months. In addition, Minister Won Hee-ryong refused to hold meetings on the matter. Governor Oh questioned whether all the silence was to move forward with the military airport.

The government and the ruling party urged to transparently disclose all information related to the construction of the second airport, and urged Minister Won Hee-ryong to express his position on issuing the second airport as a military airport.





"2공항 군사공항 반대, 용역보고서 공개해야"


오영훈 제주특별자치도지사가 지난 28일 국회 정론관에서 기자회견을 갖고 제주 제2공항의 군사공항 활용 반대와 관련 용역보고서의 즉각 공개를 촉구했습니다.

국민의힘 북핵위기대응특별위원회에서 핵 배치를 포함한 제주 군사기지화를 논의한 사실에 제주가 큰 혼란에 휩싸이고 있으며 특히 제2공항을
군사공항으로 활용하자는 논의 내용은 충격으로 몰아넣고 있다고 주장했습니다.

국토부는 2공항 관련 보완 용역 결과를 두달 넘도록 공개하지 않고 원희룡 장관은 아예 면담 요청을거부하고 있다며 쉬쉬하는 일련의 과정이 제2공항을 군사공항으로 만들기 위한 것인지 묻고 싶다고 강조했습니다.


이에따라 정부와 여당에 제2공항 건설과 관련된 모든 정보를 투명하게 공개하고 원희룡 장관은 제2공항의 군사공항 활용 문제에 대한 입장을 밝혀 줄 것을 촉구했습니다.
