Last year, consumer prices in Jeju skyrocketed hitting the highest ratings since the IMF financial crisis.

According to the Jeju branch of the National Statistical Office, consumer prices rose 5.9% last year compared to 2021.

This is the highest increase in 24 years since records showed 7.7% in 1998 during the IMF financial crisis.

Agricultural, livestock and fisheries products rose 4.8%, industrial products 8%, and services 4.4% respectively.

작년 제주지역 소비자물가가 고공행진을 이어가며 IMF 외환위기 이후 최고 상승률을 기록했습니다.

통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 작년 소비자물가는 2021년과 비교해 5.9% 올랐습니다.

이는 IMF 외환위기였던 1998년 7.7% 이후 24년 만에 최고 상승률입니다.

농축수산물이 4.8% 올랐으며 공업제품은 8% 서비스는 4.4%의 상승률을 보였습니다.
