Seogwipo City will set up and operate a fire prevention headquarters from next month until May 15.

Accordingly, a headquarters office along with situation rooms will be established to help prevent forest fires at 12 district administrative offices and 121 staff will be deployed including professional firefighters and forest fire monitors.

This is to strengthen fire prevention at a time when the number of hikers increases.

서귀포시가 다음달부터 5월 15일까지 봄철 산불방지대책본부를 운영합니다.

이에 따라 본청과 12개 읍면동에 산불방지대책본부 상황실을 설치하고, 전문 예방진화대원과 산불감시원 등 121명을 배치할 예정입니다.

등산객이 증가하는 시기에 산불 예방 활동을
강화하고 초동 진화 태세를 확립하기로 했습니다.
